We are proud of our team, and know they are the subject matter experts on how things get done at Juro. That’s why we believe the buddy scheme is crucial to help new Jurors feel connected as quickly as possible.

An onboarding buddy is someone who partners with a new Juror during their first month at Juro. Providing the new Jurors with a dedicated mentor and point of contact outside of their immediate team, we hope to make their transition into Juro as smooth as possible.

Why do we have buddies?

Benefits to the new Juror

  1. Mentorship: A buddy can act as a mentor and help guide you through your journey at Juro. They can offer advice, share their experiences, and help you navigate situations.
  2. Connection: Building a connection with your buddy can help you feel supported, knowing there is someone there to listen and share your successes and challenges.
  3. Networking: Your buddy can also introduce you to Juror’s that it could be useful to touch base with and help expand your network by pointing you in the right direction.

  1. Mentorship: Being a buddy provides you with the scope to enhance your mentoring skills and share your knowledge and resources with others.
  2. Networking: Opportunity to work with an individual outside of your direct team and get a fresh perspective on things.
  3. Personal development: Provides you with the opportunity to develop your leadership skills and can help reinforce your own knowledge and skills by passing these onto others.

Responsibilities of a buddy

  1. Offering support: A buddy should be available to offer support and encouragement when needed. This can include listening to concerns and offering advice.
  2. Maintaining confidentiality: A buddy should respect the confidentiality of any personal or professional information that is shared. If you are ever concerned or unsure about a disclosure, the People Team are here to support you.
  3. Helping with information: A buddy can help an individual adjust to Juro norms, and guidelines by directing them to useful information and responding to general/routine questions.
  4. Facilitating networking opportunities: A buddy can introduce an individual to other Juror’s and help them expand their network, knowing who to go to when needed.
